You can apply for transfer to Haaga-Helia if you are studying in the same language in a similar degree programme as the programme to which you wish to transfer. Please note that you can only apply for transfer if you are studying in a university of applied sciences or university in Finland.

From a Finnish university of applied sciences / university to Haaga-Helia

You can apply for transfer to Haaga-Helia UAS if you are studying in the same language in a similar degree programme as the programme to which you wish to transfer.

From a degree programme to another within Haaga-Helia

You need to apply for transfer in Studyinfo if you are studying at Haaga-Helia and would like to change from a degree programme to another and the change would affect the title of the objective degree (for example Bachelor of Business Administration, tradenomi > Bachelor of Hospitality Management, restonomi). Please note that the teaching language of the programme cannot change in the transfer.

N.B. If changing the degree programme within Haaga-Helia would not affect the title of the objective degree (for example Bachelor of Business Administration > Bachelor of Business Administration), please check this site in order to find the right application form and instructions. 

Please note that a student who gains admission via transfer application can only be absent during their first year under certain terms.

The next transfer application period for studies starting in January 2027 will be 28 October to 11 November 2026, at 15:00 Finnish time (UTC/GMT+2). Admission criteria and the programmes participating in the transfer application will be published on Studyinfo.fi at the latest one month before the application period.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

An applicant has a right to appeal in writing concerning the transfer decision within 14 days of the publishing of the results. The appeal must be sent to the admission services but is to be addressed to the Collegiate Body of Haaga-Helia.
