"Every organisation deserves a hospitality management professional” – a campaign, that shapes the future of the hospitality industry
With donated funds, we can create new and innovative initiatives in education and research. Our latest initiative is RestoCamp, a modern learning environment opening in August at Mall of Tripla, one of Finland’s largest shopping centers. There, hospitality management students will develop services in a real customer environment and versatile learning spaces.
- Its central location, constant flow of customers, and multifunctional facilities ensure that future hospitality professionals gain extensive experience in customer interactions and customer-oriented service development, says Vice President Jouni Ahonen.
- A Haaga-Helia hospitality management student follows their passion. Their heart beats for human encounters, creating atmosphere, and perhaps even for AI applications and robotics, as long as they serve what matters most: people. Hospitality professionals increase happiness through excellent service, memorable experiences, gastronomy, comfort, and enjoyment. Enabling genuine human connections is at the core of their expertise, describes Risto Karmavuo, Degree Director of the Hospitality Management Programme, when explaining the goal of the fundraising campaign.
Why your donation matters now?
Funding cuts in higher education have also had a significant impact on hospitality management education. In recent years, funding has decreased by €1.6 million, directly affecting the quality of teaching and students’ learning experiences.
We are doing everything we can to close this gap and ensure that our students continue to receive an engaging, high-quality, and industry-oriented education.
