As a higher education institution, Haaga-Helia plays an important indirect role. Naturally, we pay attention to our own footprint, but the biggest impact is on the handprint side. Our graduates are experts in sustainability and responsibility, and our staff are familiar with the principles of sustainability that guide their work. Our RDI activities also support the clean transition.

Modern, profitable business is based on a very simple premise: all activities must be sustainable and cover all dimensions of sustainability. This is the only way to ensure a sustainable and long-term approach to improving the world, one step at a time. We feel a special responsibility to be at the forefront of sustainability actions.

We are committed to systematically reducing our carbon footprint and to monitoring and improving the environmental impact of our operations. We carry out an annual carbon footprint calculation and take responsibility and sustainability into account in our operations, facilities, procurement and partnerships.
