Rolling admission

The SAT test is an exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper or digital test administered by the College Board. The purpose of the SAT test is to measure the applicant's readiness for higher education and provide higher education institutions with one common data point that can be used to compare applicants.

Please note that if you apply with SAT scores, you also need to have a higher/upper secondary degree (e.g. high school diploma) to be eligible to apply to Haaga-Helia through Rolling admission. Eligible applicants with an SAT score that exceeds the minimum requirement are invited to an  interview.

1. Register for the SAT test through the College Board's website. You can check test dates, deadlines for registration and test centers nearest to you on the College Board's website.
2. Take the SAT test in required sections: Evidence-based reading and writing and Math. Order your official SAT score report from the test organiser to be delivered directly to Haaga-Helia. The code for Haaga-Helia UAS is 7098.
   • Only the new SAT test taken after March 2016 is acceptable.
   • Reports printed or sent by the applicant him/herself are not acceptable.
   • You must attain at least the required points per section (Evidence-based reading and writing, Math) to be invited to the interview and get accepted.
   • Required SAT score in BBA programmes (Bachelor of Business Administration): 500 points in section Evidence-based reading and writing and 500 points in Math
   • Required SAT score in BHM programmes (Bachelor of Hospitality Management): 500 points in Evidence-based reading and writing and 400 points in Math.

1. Choose the degree programme that you want to apply for and fill out the online application form during the application period on studyinfo.fi
2. Attach the required certificates to your application. Eligibility for Bachelor's degree programmes is higher/upper secondary education (e.g. high school diploma). Required documents of eligibility by country can be found here.

Eligible applicants with an SAT score that exceeds the minimum requirement are invited to an  interview.

Haaga-Helia sends invitations to the online interview by email a week before the interview date.

Participate in the admission interview. Please note that your identity will be checked during the group interview. You must present your passport, EU/EEA identity card or Finnish driving licence as the identification document.

The online interview will be assessed on a scale of pass/fail.

You will be notified of the selection result by email as soon as you have submitted the required certificates, you have participated in the interview and your application has been processed.

The original documents (diploma, transcript and official translations) may be checked when the student arrives in Finland and starts the studies.

Applicants who have completed (or complete during the academic year 2023–2024) the above mentioned education can apply based on their diploma, provided that it meets the requirements below. Provisional/temporary documents are accepted.

Applicants will be invited to an interview on the basis of their school performance. To be invited to the interview the applicants are required to have the following grades on their 12th grade transcript of records:

• GPA 8.0 or higher
• English 8.0 or higher
• Mathematics 8.0 or higher

Please notice: 

• Chinese General High School Diploma (中国普通高中毕业证书) from Beijing or Shanghai (Spring 2024 application)
• Chinese General High School Diploma (中国普通高中毕业证书) from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong province or Hubei province (Autumn 2024 application)

Applicants who have completed (or complete during the academic year 2023–2024) the above mentioned education can apply based on their diploma provided that it meets the requirements below. To become invited to an interview the applicants are required to have the following grades on their transcript of records:

• English 80 % or higher
• Mathematics 80 % or higher (Spring 2024 application)
• Mathematics 70 % or higher (Autumn 2024 application)

The applicants who have completed (or complete during the academic year 2023–2024) the above mentioned education can apply based on their certificate provided that it meets the requirements below. To be invited to an interview the applicants are required to have the following grades on their certificate. Grades from the final examination of the first semester of the senior year will be accepted for the application.

• GPA 65 % or higher
• English 65 % or higher
• Mathematics 65 % or higher (Spring 2024 application)
• Mathematics 65 % or higher, or Economics 65 % or higher (Autumn 2024 application)

Applicants that have completed (or complete during the academic year 2023–2024) the certificate can be admitted based on their certificate. To be invited to an interview for BBA programmes applicants are required to have the following grades on their certificate:

• GPA 13.0 or higher
• English 14.0 or higher (completed in the final/terminale year)
• Math 13.0 or higher (Spécialité Mathematics completed in both the première and terminale years)(Spring 2024 application)
• Math 13.0 or higher (Spécialité Mathematics completed in either the première or terminale years)(Autumn 2024 application)

To be invited to an interview for BHM programme applicants are required to have the following grades on their certificate:

• GPA 12.0 or higher
• English 14.0 or higher (completed in the final/terminale year)
• Math 12.0 or higher (Spring 2024 application)
• In Autumn 2024 application there is no requirement in Math)

Applicants who have completed (or complete during the academic year 2023-2024) the above mentioned education can apply based on their diploma, provided that it meets the requirements below.
Applicants will be invited to an interview on the basis of their school performance. To be invited to the interview the applicants are required to have the following grades on their Atestāts par vispārējo vidējo izglītību (Certificate of Secondary Education):
 

• Mathematics: 7
• English (B2 / first foreign language): 
  • English: 7 or
  • International language certificate (same requirements as in joint application: uasinfo.fi)
     

(from Autumn 2024 application on)

Applicants that have completed (or complete during the academic year 2023-2024) the above mentioned education can apply based on their diploma, provided that it meets the requirements below.
Applicants will be invited to an interview on the basis of their school performance. To be invited to the interview the applicants are required to have the following grades on their Gümnaasiumi lõputunnistus (Certificate of General Education): 

• Mathematics:
  • Narrow mathematics: 4 or
  • Extensive mathematics: 3
• English (B2): 
  • English completed in B2-level: 4 or
  • International language certificate (same requirements as in joint application: uasinfo.fi)
