Scholarship system at Haaga-Helia

A scholarship system is available at Haaga‑Helia for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students who are required to pay tuition fees and who study in degree programmes taught in English. Students in commissioned education groups are not entitled to scholarships.

You may be eligible to receive a scholarship if you have two paid semesters that are used for the scholarship review, you were enrolled as a present (attending) student during those semesters, and you also need to be enrolled as present during the semester when your credits are reviewed. Semesters when you were absent or without a study right do not count toward the scholarship evaluation semesters. The study semesters used for the scholarship review must be completed in the same degree programme. If you are absent during the semester when your credits would normally be reviewed, Study Services will carry out your scholarship review in the next semester when you are enrolled as present again. Additional scholarship requirements differ for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students and depend on your study start date. Please review the degree‑specific rules below.

Scholarships are not given for previous studies you completed at other schools before starting your degree at Haaga‑Helia.

You are responsible for checking that your course completion dates in Peppi are correct. If you finish a course in the autumn semester, the completion date in Peppi must also be in the autumn semester. For example, it must not show a January completion date. If a date is wrong, please ask the teacher to correct it. Grades with incorrect completion dates will not be counted toward the scholarship evaluation.

Students who have a note in Peppi for cheating or plagiarism will not receive a scholarship during the evaluation period, even if they meet all other requirements.

Graduating students will be informed about their possible scholarship eligibility by Study Services.
