Pre-credit transfer

1. You can start a new pre-credit application in two ways in Peppi:  
   1. From the frontpage menu of the student's desktop in Peppi, select Credit transfer.  
   2. From the top menu, select PSP, then go to the Credit transfer tab. 
2. Read the instructions carefully in the blue box on the right-hand side of the page. 
3. Click +Create pre-credit application. 
4. Your personal information appears at the top. At the bottom, enter the details of your guidance discussion with your counsellor regarding the studies to be approved. For the section Who have you had your guidance discussion with?, enter the name of your guidance counsellor or, in the case of studies completed during an exchange, the name of your international affairs specialist. Add any relevant notes from the discussion. 
5. Select Save as draft and start filling out the pre-credit application. 
6. The application will open in draft mode. Continue with the next steps. 

1. Click + Add place of study at the bottom of the application page. The type of study place must always be "Higher Education Institution." 
2. Select the correct type and institution from the dropdown. If your institution is not listed, email: [email protected]. 
3. Upload attachments by clicking choose files. You must include a course description (link, screenshot, or scanned document). 
4. Click Save. 
5. You will be redirected back to your application in draft status.
   1. You can later edit or delete the study place details using the pen or X icons next to the row. 

A) Accreditation: If the course replaces one already in your PSP

When a previously completed study replaces a study/studies in your PSP

1. Click + Add previously completed study at the bottom of the page. 
2. In the field Credit transfer type, choose Accreditation. 
3. Select the correct Handler by typing their name or first few letters and selecting from the list
4. Fill in the course details on the left: 
   1. Course code (if known) 
   2. Course name (in study language and English) 
   3. Scale (if known), type of scale, study language, place(s) of performance, and planned date of completion 
5. Repeat this process for each course separately. 
6. In the Justifications field, you can add more details about the course. 
7. On the right side, under Select from the studeis in PSP, choose the course in your plan that the new course will substitute. You can view the details of a study module by clicking its name. To add a study module to your application, click the button on the right side of the module. The selected module will appear on the right under the heading Studies selected for the application.
   
   NOTE! Please note that the course must be included in your PSP in order to make the direct credit transfer. In case it is not, go to the Selecting studies tab in your PSP and add the course. PSP instructions 
   Click Add (Save) and continue to Submit the Application. 

The application remains in draft mode until you click Submit pre-credit application. 

• Review all entered information and the selected handler before submitting. 
• You can still edit or add data if the application is not yet submitted. 
• If needed, delete the draft using Delete pre-credit application. 

NOTE! Once submitted, you cannot edit the form unless the handler returns it for completion. A decision will be made for each course separately. 
 You can monitor the status of the application from Peppi student's desktop Credit Transfer-tab and PSP's Credit transfer tab. You will also receive email notifications of status updates. 

Once submitted, the application can only be edited if returned for completion by the handler. Returned applications appear in the Recognition section of the student desktop or PSP tab. Click the pen icon to open the application and edit, remove courses, or change the handler. IMPORTANT: After editing, click Return to Processing. 

 
Processing of the pre-credit application 

• Once your application is processed, you will receive an email notification. The application will either be approved or rejected. Approved courses appear in your PSP, marked with a special symbol.

You can view your application by opening the Actions -button and choosing: View
 

1. Once you’ve completed the course, submit the actual credit transfer application based on the pre-credit application.  Attach the official transcript of records and missing details (e.g., grade, attachments). For studies completed during the exchange: Update the necessary information on the Learning Agreement according to the completed course. 

   Find the processed pre-creditl form in your PSP → Credit transfer → pre-credit applications. The status is: Processed. Click the application number in Application name -row (your student number + date). 

2. Click Create application to open the filled form. Edit/remove studies depending on what you completed. Add completion date and grade. 

3. Edit the information to match your previously completed studies that you wish to have accredited. Instructions for credit transfer.

   NOTE! Choose the correct handler according your degree programme, using the information presented (on blue background)

4. Open the form from the Previously completed studies -section by clicking the pen icon. In the Modify previously completed study -view, Previously completed studies -section, click the pen icon again for the specific course and fill in the missing details. Also, correct the completion date

5. Click Modify and Save

   NOTE! Under Places of performance and attachments, delete the original course description, click pen -icon (and when it opens, click X in front of the file) and upload your official transcript from +Choose files -icon. 

6. Submit the application to the handler. You can track its status:  

   By selecting Credit transfer from the top menu of the Peppi student desktop.

   By selecting PSP from the top menu of the Peppi student desktop, then go to the Credit Transfer -tab

       

7. Once approved, the status changes to: Pre-approved - Processed 

The symbol in PSP will be K (accreditation) or S (inclusion), depending on the type of recognition. You can look the pre-credit details by clicking  symbol next to the
