Dr Jani Siirilä works as a Principal lecturer at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, School of Professional Teacher Education. He has over 20-year teaching experience covering every educational level from primary school to academic education, mainly focusing on vocational education.
He works in the Vocational Teacher Education programme, in different RDI-projects (Research, Development and Innovation), and in Continuing education programmes.
His field of expertise is education for sustainable development. His doctoral thesis examined how the education of sustainable development is interpreted on the educational level in Finland.
His other interests are future vocational competences and the science of professional and vocational education.
