TeProD: Improving Teachers and Students Professional Development with Twin Transition in Sub-Saharan Africa

The purpose of the TeProD project is to empower Higher Education (HE) teachers with knowledge and skills in Green and Digital transitions (twin transition). The project will achieve this through training, curriculum development, enhanced teaching methods, and AI-enhanced course content.

Target audience

  • Teachers in the pedagogical programs (“teachers of teachers”)
  • Students studying in pedagogical programs (potential future teachers in various disciplines)
  • Teachers in various disciplines at HEIs
  • Industry professionals
  • HEIs' administration

Specific objectives of the TeProD project are:

  • To increase the knowledge and skills of teachers and students in the pedagogical programs and teachers in other HE programs in the area of circular economy, green transition, digitalization, pedagogy and use of AI and digital tools in education
  • To align curricula with industry needs in the area of twin transition
  • To enhance collaboration and partnerships among higher education institutions and industry professionals in the area of twin transition.

A notable aspect of TeProD is its integration of

  • Technological Knowledge (including AI and digital tools)
  • Content Knowledge (covering circular economy, digitalization, and twin transition) and
  • Pedagogical Knowledge
