Suomen Latu – The Outdoor Association of Finland is challenging everyone to sleep outdoors on Saturday 26 August. As part of the event, Mall of Tripla, Sokos Hotel Tripla, Suomen Latu and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences organise an event on the green roof of the Mall of Tripla, where pre-invited people get to spend an unforgettable night under the Helsinki sky.

– The goal of the Sleep outdoors campaign is to lower the threshold for overnight camping. With the Tripla event, we want to highlight that you can sleep outside even in an urban environment, such as on a balcony, in your own yard or on a terrace, says event specialist Petteri Tiainen from The Outdoor Association of Finland.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences is participating in the event through the PasilaHUB project. Spending the night on a green roof is part of an experiment in which new experiential overnight solutions are tested and created in an urban environment. Haaga-Helia has invited two tourism influencers to spend the night on the roof.
