Sirpa Lassila works as Principal Lecturer in service business and innovation at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. For over 20 years she has worked in innovation projects and designed customer driven solutions both in private and public sector alongside her teaching activities. She has also several years of experience in fast moving consumer goods. In her practical projects, Sirpa Lassila utilizes both her service design and pedagogical competences. 

Sirpa Lassila gained a doctorate from University of Westminster (2020) with a dissertation topic ‘The role of causation, effectuation and bricolage in new service development processes’. She continues to maintain  interest in service innovation and disruptive business model creation in entrepreneurial contexts from her PhD work. Furthermore, Sirpa Lassila has published several articles on service design, cocreation and learning. 

Lassila is also involved  Ulysseus- ja Smart Urban eFly projects.
