Graduation
The application for graduation closes on 8 December 2024. If you plan to graduate by 31.12. but you are still missing some credits from second period’s implementation, please contact the teacher of the course to agree on getting the credits to your student register prior the application for graduation closes. You will find the teacher’s name e.g. when you log in to Timetable tool.
Please see the detailed instructions on how to apply for gradutation on our websites. The graduation ceremony for the autumn semester will take place on Wednesday 18 December 2024. The possibility to attend the graduation ceremony is not linked to the graduation date. Everyone who applies for graduation during autumn semester 2024 and graduates by December can attend the ceremony.
Spring and summer schedules and enrollment
The schedules for spring and summer studies 2025 will be published on Mon 18 November in Timetable tool (Lukkarikone). Enrollment for spring and summer studies begins on 25 November 2024 at 8.00 am and ends on 2 December 2024 at 16.00. The post-enrollment begins on 2 January 2025 at 8.00 am and ends at 16.00 on the Friday of the week before the implementation begins.
Winter in Finland event
Are you new to Finland? Wondering what to do during the winter and how to discover winter hobbies and activities?Winter in Finland is a 2-hour event held at Pasila Library (near Haaga-Helia's Pasila campus, address: Kellosilta 9, 00520 Helsinki) on Wednesday 14 November 2024, from 15.00 to 17.00. During the event, attendees can learn more about the Pasila Library, its possibilities, and the HELMET systems as a whole. Students can also hear about the support and activities of Haaga-Helia's well-being services, and a panel of international Haaga-Helians will introduce what they like to do in winter. How do they spend their time? What challenges have they faced, and how they overcame these challenges? If you want to attend Winter in Finland, please sign up for our event.
Ulysseus Blended Intensive Programme in Genoa
Ulysseus partner University of Genoa in Italy will organize a Blended Intensive Programme from February 17th to 21st, 2025 with a specific focus on wearable technology and its application on different fields. The virtual component start day is on 10.2.2025. The course is divided into a virtual component and an in-person session at the University of Genoa in Italy, and it is worth 3 ECTS credits.
Students must have a background in areas such as Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), engineering, manufacturing, construction, or related fields to participate in the course. Selected students can apply for an Erasmus+ grant, which will cover part of their travel and accommodation costs. Application for Haaga-Helia students is open until November 15, 2024. Enrollment for CampusOnline courses will now be done through the Cross-Study Service (RIPA)
As a degree student at Haaga-Helia, you will from now on enrol for CampusOnline courses in partner universities through the Cross-Study Service in your personal study plan (PSP). The completion and evaluation of the courses will automatically appear in your Haaga-Helia study records. Further instructions related to RIPA studies are available in Peppi. Always discuss your studies with your guidance counsellor before you make enrolments for cross study courses.
Master seminars in the spring 2025
In the Master seminars, topics for theses are brainstormed, and in addition, the graduating students present their thesis.
Master seminars take place online on the following Mondays from 17 to 19:

Thesis workshops in the spring 2025
The thesis workshops support the planning and implementation of the Master thesis and are intended for all Master students. Participating in the workshops is voluntary and does not accumulate study points, but according to the feedback, they are useful at every stage of the thesis. Thesis workshops take place online on the following Mondays from 17 to 19. The enrollment will begin in the beginning of January.

Easier information searching: artificial intelligence tool Keenious Plus
The library has purchased Keenious Plus, an AI-based research article search tool for Haaga-Helia students and staff. Keenious Plus can be used either in a browser or with an add-on in MS Word or Google Docs. You can search for sources based on your own text while writing your thesis or coursework, for example. The tool also identifies and defines key concepts in the text. You can find more information in the news article published on Haaga-Helia's website.
Thesis
The thesis should be started at the beginning of the third semester i.e. second study year the latest. You can find support and information from Master thesis web page and on the Applied Design Research course. If you don’t have a thesis topic yet, remember to participate in the Master seminar of your specialisation where you can get support for ideation.
