This year, 1061 students have graduated from Haaga-Helia's Bachelor's and 231 from Master's studies. This spring's celebrations were attended by a record number of people. It was the first time that the campuses held a joint graduation ceremony.
Nearly 700 people attended the ceremony at the Scandic Marina Congress Center by the sea.
– Today is a time for celebration. Universities of applied sciences have an important role to play. The graduates of Haaga-Helia are the ones who keep the wheels of society turning. These are the graduates Finland will need in the future, said President Teemu Kokko in his congratulatory speech.
As is traditional, the graduates were presented with roses and stipends were awarded to those who had achieved good results in their studies. What was new this spring was that for the first time, graduates received only electronic certificates. More than 80 stipends were awarded in total.
This year, the alumni speech was given by Iida Marjosalmi from Omnicom Media Group and the music was performed by the Poppy String Quartet. See photos of the celebrations on the Instagram accounts of Haaga-Helia and Haaga-Helia alumni @haagahelia and @haagaheliaalumni.
Congratulations to all graduates!
