Johanna Maaniemi is responsible for Leadership and People Management specialization in the Master's studies.
Johanna has been working with people management topics nearly 20 years having a career mixture of both research and practice. Her specialization areas are in performance and rewards management.
Her professional foundation is at Aalto University where she spent nearly ten years teaching and studying people and performance management. In her doctoral dissertation she explored fairness perceptions involving pay. After Aalto years she worked several years as a consultant and in-house practitioner helping organizations to develop their performance management systems. She has worked closely with different stakeholders such as management boards, HR professionals and employee representatives. Johanna has also extensive experience in selling professional consultancy services.
In Haaga-Helia she teaches and studies topics related to strategic human resource management, performance and rewards management and organizational learning.
