GEKKO – Use of generative AI and collective learning

Generative AI is an emerging resource for developing organizations, work, and learning. The GEKKO project, led by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, explores how generative AI can be used to renew and improve operations both in everyday work and across the entire organization.

We study and model generative AI usage experiences in organizations where it is utilized in daily work. Based on this, we will build a learning network for medium-sized companies in Uusimaa, where we research, learn, and develop the use of generative AI together.

As a result of the project, we will identify ways in which:

  • employees can use generative AI in everyday organizational life to support learning and creative problem-solving,
  • employee learning with generative AI can be transferred into organizational learning and development, and
  • companies can purposefully support and develop the use of generative AI.

The project will culminate in the publication of the “AI as a Support for Learning” model and a final report, both freely available to everyone.
