Important dates for autumn    

The dates of the academic year can be found from our  websites. Changes to your attendance or non-attendance status for the spring semester 2026 must be made in Peppi between 24 November and 1 December 2025.

Graduation  

The application for graduation closes on 8 December 2025 at 23:59. Apply for graduation once all your completed courses are visible in the study register, or by the graduation application deadline at the latest, if you know that a missing course (such as a thesis) will be completed soon. 

Please see the detailed instructions on how to apply for graduation on our websites. The graduation ceremony for the autumn semester will take place on Thursday 18 December 2025. The possibility to attend the graduation ceremony is not linked to the graduation date. Everyone who applies for graduation during autumn semester 2025 and graduates by December can attend the ceremony.

Spring and summer schedules and enrolment   

The schedules for spring and summer studies 2026 will be published on Thu 20 November in Timetable tool (Lukkarikone). The enrolment for spring semester 2026 and summer 2026 implementations begins on 26 November 2025 at 8.00 am and ends on 3 December 2025 at 4.00 pm. The post-enrolment begins on 15 December 2025 at 9.00 am and ends at 4.00 pm on the Friday of the week before the implementation begins.

Master thesis workshops spring 2026

Students get support for their thesis work in the general thesis workshops. The thesis workshops support the planning and implementation of the Master's thesis and are intended for all Master's students. Participating in the workshops is voluntary and does not accumulate study points, but according to the feedback, they are useful at every stage of the thesis. The enrolment for spring workshops will begin in January.

• Data visualisation -pajaa ei järjestetä, mutta pajasta on tallenne. Ks. myös PowerPoint-esitys.
• 30.3. – Mielekkään tutkimusaiheen valinta
• 13.4. – Choosing a Meaningful Research Topic

Method workshops from 18.00 to 20.30

Method evenings from 18.00 to 20.30

Autumn semester method evenings will be held in Finnish and spring semester method evenings will be held in English.

• Wednesday February 11 at 18.00 o’clock (ca. 2.5 h) Interviews and content analysis. Assessing reliability and validity, Principal Lecturer Juha Lindstedt
• Tuesday February 24 at 18.00 o’clock (ca. 2.5 h) Questionnaire design and use of Webropol for collecting data. Analysing and presenting quantitative data, Principal Lecturer Pirjo Saaranen
