Haaga-Helia's new partner Clarion Hotels Finland visited Haaga campus
Haaga-Helia has signed a partner agreement with Clarion Hotels Finland.
Clarion Hotels Finland’s representatives Inari Lehtinen and Pia Haapsaari-Helminen visited Haaga-Helia's Haaga campus and got to see the facilities with Degree Director Risto Karmavuo, Lecturer Nina Niemi and Customer Relations Manager Riku Korosuo.
Clarion Hotels Finland is a part of Nordic Choice Hotels, the largest hotel chain in the Nordic countries, which includes Comfort, Quality and Clarion hotels. The chain has more than 200 hotels in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Baltic countries.
The aim of the new partner cooperation is to create projects that bring the diversity of the restaurant, hotel and accommodation sector and Clarion Hotels Finland's activities to Haaga-Helia's students’ knowledge. Employment opportunities in the sector have developed at a high pace since the pandemic ended, and Nordic Choice Hotels' growing operations offer students a great opportunity for internships and work. The collaboration allows many new career paths to open, as opportunities for advancement within the industry and Nordic Choice Hotels are wide.
— Responsibility or WeCare at Clarion Hotels Finland, is also an important theme and value that is reflected in the operations of Nordic Choice hotel employees as well. Responsibility work manifests itself in environmental actions in hotels, support for diversity in work communities and regional activities, both through event development and utilization of local products, explains Inari Lehtinen.
Clarion Hotels Finland looks forward to collaborating and exchanging innovative ideas with Haaga-Helia. The upcoming branded classroom of Clarion Hotels Finland was also selected from Haaga campus.
