Changes to Theseus thesis submissions starting from 26 August
The DSpace operating system of Theseus will be upgraded to a new version late August and early September. The upgrade will affect thesis submissions and availability during the transition period.
Body
New submission address available from 26 August
The web address of the thesis submission form will change on 26 August. The new link will be updated on the Theseus submission page.
Please note that the direct address of the old submission form (https://www.theseus.fi/submit) will no longer work after 26 August.
During the transition period, submissions to the temporary Theseus service can only be made from network connections located in Finland. If you are submitting your thesis from abroad, please use Haaga-Helia’s VDI remote desktop service. If you encounter problems publishing your thesis, please contact the Haaga-Helia Library at [email protected].
Where will Theses be available?
New theses submitted to Theseus after 26 August will be temporarily available at https://theseus.julkaisuarkisto.fi/home.
Theses submitted before 26 August will remain available through the current Theseus address https://www.theseus.fi/.
Submission downtime in early September
There will be a submission outage of a few days in early September, during which new theses cannot be submitted. During the outage, all theses will be transferred from the temporary Theseus service back to the main Theseus service. The exact timing of the outage will be confirmed soon and announced separately.
Recommendation for linking
We recommend using the permanent URN link when linking to theses. This ensures that the thesis remains accessible throughout the upgrade process, regardless of which Theseus address hosts the thesis at any given time.
