After that, they're hosting a nationwide "AI in Finland" webinar, uniting enthusiasts and experts to explore the future of AI in our country.

The AI-Smart SME initiative has entered an exciting second phase after the successful completion of the captivating "AI in Finland" interview series and the thought-provoking "Tehoako tekoälystä?" podcast. The second season of the "AI in Finland" interview series has once again attracted an impressive lineup of thought leaders. Among the featured voices are Atte Jääskeläinen, the Director General of the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra; renowned business leader Risto Siilasmaa; and Risto A.J. Penttilä, an expert on international affairs and CEO of Nordic West Office.
Dr. Anna Lahtinen, Project Manager at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, is thrilled with the project's smooth progress. She praises the project's steering committee for being both a rich source of ideas and a dynamic partner in all aspects of production.
"Our steering committee members have played a pivotal role in delivering diverse and engaging content. They’ve actively participated in everything from co-writing and Q&A sessions of our interview series to the production of the 'Tehoako tekoälystä?' podcast," she remarks.
A Creative Force and Enthusiastic Collaborator
The project team is currently immersed in the creation of the "Empowering Change with AI" book, scheduled for release this fall. This interactive book will consolidate the insights and knowledge gathered throughout the project, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of individuals and the modern workforce. Dr. Lahtinen highlights that their aim is to produce a resource that is both accessible and comprehensible.
In conjunction with the book's release, the project will culminate in a nationwide "AI in Finland" webinar on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. This event promises to bring together an exciting array of speakers, practical insights, and the latest advancements in AI from Finland.

The AI-Smart SME project collaborates with a significant network of partners and communicators including Business Helsinki, Central Uusimaa Development Company Keuke, Länsi-Uusimaa Chamber of Commerce, Finnish Entrepreneurs, Health Technology, Students of Business and Technology, and Yrityskummit.
The project also collaborates with the Turku Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Uusimaa Development Company Posintra, and Kotka-Hamina Region Development Company Cursor. It is funded by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
The project’s steering committee boasts an impressive lineup including Saara Hassinen from Health Technology, Jerker Forsblom and Päivi Heikinheimo from Yrityskummit, Päivi-Maria Isokääntä from the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, Tommi Knaapinen from Western Uusimaa Chamber of Commerce, Sami Masala from AIThink, Ossi Mattila from Business Helsinki and Petri Ovaska from Uusimaa Entrepreneurs.
