This webinar is especially designed for companies and public sector organizations interested in learning more about AI leadership during the AI transformation. Join AI Skaalaajat project

The AI Skaalaajat project already includes over 20 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the Uusimaa region, and there is still room for new companies to join. This year, we have organized six co-creation events. We are also collaborating with several companies on AI-driven POC projects that result in concrete technical prototypes. The project is a joint initiative between Haaga-Helia and Metropolia, and it is co-funded by the European Union and the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council.

Smart furniture bot Kalustebotti helps school janitors

The Kalustebotti was developed in the ÄLYÄ project co-funded by the European Union to meet the needs of the Education division of the City of Helsinki. The application brings maintenance expertise to wherever the furniture is.

HosByte project’s service robot prototypes continue

As part of the HosByte: Smart Omnichannel Sales in the Hospitality Industry project, trials have been carried out during spring and autumn 2025 to test how well the Keenon T5 service robot fits into various hospitality sector tasks. The robot has been tested in a lunch restaurant, a hotel, a co-working space, and a hostel. The testing will culminate in October 2025 at Linnanmäki amusement park, where the robot will support employees and entertain customers as part of the annual Light Carnival.

In addition to Linnanmäki, other partners in the testing have included Powered By Yonoton Ltd, UNITY Helsinki Ltd, and Eurohostel Ltd. The HosByte project is co-funded by the European Union and the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council.

Artificial intelligence’s opportunities and risks for healthy lifestyles were explored in a Ulysseus Conference

The Ulysseus Innovation Hub on Ageing and Well-being explored Artificial intelligence’s opportunities and risks for healthy lifestyles in a conference at the University of Côte d'Azur in Nice, on September 25th and 26th. Principal Lecturer Lili Aunimo gave a presentation entitled: "Dialog modelling for medical chat and sentiment analysis for better service quality". Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences contributes to the activities of the hub by bringing in expertise on artificial intelligence, among others.

New AI opportunities for companies – GAIK project brought specialists to Haaga-Helia

Generative AI for smarter knowledge work seminar brought together nearly 100 entrepreneurs, consultants, AI and IT specialists, researchers and teachers at the Haaga-Helia Pasila campus and on a virtual event platform.

How can generative artificial intelligence be utilised in plain language journalism? At the final seminar of the AI-assisted news content targeting
project, presentations were given by Yle's Selkouutiset (Easy News) and Helsingin Sanomat, and the results of the project were presented.
