Accounting lecturer Pekka Heikkilä has a long career at Haaga-Helia behind him. He entered Haaga Instituutti in 1993. Later, Haaga Instituutti University of Applied Sciences and Helia University of Business and Applied Sciences merged, and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences was established in 2007.
Heikkilä praises Haaga-Helia's students as well as colleagues:

According to Heikkilä, the learning culture is international in both Finnish and international degree programmes.
