Career monitoring survey and alumni survey – influence future education

Lead paragraph

Did you graduate two or five years ago? We invite alumni to respond! Your response will help us improve the quality of higher education and teaching.

The surveys are used to gather information on how well the education has met the needs of graduates with bachelor's and master's degrees in terms of their own skills and those required in working life. In addition, the information collected will support current and future students in their career planning and in strengthening the right skills.

Alumni voices heard in two surveys

The career monitoring survey is statutory and nationwide. Starting in 2021, career monitoring responses are linked to the funding model for higher education institutions. The number of respondents also affects on funding, so every response is valuable to Haaga-Helia.

The alumni survey is Haaga-Helia's own study, which asks graduates from two years ago to share their experiences. The questions are based on the career monitoring survey.

How to participate in the surveys

The career monitoring survey is conducted in October-November. CSC – IT Center for Science – sends it centrally to all graduates from Finnish universities of applied sciences who completed their degree five years ago. You will receive a link to the survey in your email and via text message. We will also contact you by phone to hear from you and to tell you how important your response is to us. For example, we will contact alumni who completed their studies in 2020 in fall 2025.

The alumni survey is conducted in the spring via email.

Answering to the surveys takes about 10–15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be treated with complete confidentiality.

The surveys will be sent by email to the address where you receive the alumni newsletter. Please remember to update your contact details if necessary!
