Haaga-Helia School of Professional Teacher Education exports education abroad. We offer also programmes in English to become a teacher in the vocational education sector, as well as, pedagogical extension studies in English.
Education export
Since 2007, education export has been a major part of the activities of Haaga-Helia School of Professional Teacher Education. In recent years, vocational teacher education has been exported to countries such as South Africa, Colombia and Uruguay.
Since 2015, professional teachers have been trained in Pretoria, South Africa, from the Professional Teacher Education Programme of Finnish Touch. In 2019, the collaboration took a new direction when Haaga-Helia started Training the Trainers Programme, where participants become teacher trainers.
In education export, teacher training is work-life oriented. Teacher students are encouraged to collaborate with the working life and develop training in their home countries. Future-driven learning is also important. The latest modern tools and pedagogical methods are used in teaching.
