Virtual student exchange

It is possible to complete virtual studies to partner institutions at any time of your studies, just as long as you meet the prerequisites and the studies can be transferred to your PSP.  

How to apply

1. Choose your virtual exchange destination from the list below 
2. Plan your virtual studies using the Learning Agreement form 
3. Apply by filling in the ongoing “Virtual student exchange application form” in MoveON 
4. Apply directly to partner institution immediately when possible 

Your International Affairs Specialist approves your application and study plan, and transfers your completed credits to your PSP.

Virtual exchange grant

The programme fees for the virtual courses vary considerably depending on the length and content of the programme.

Check all the costs carefully directly from the host institution before applying. Please note that students are responsible for all the costs as well as all the arrangements and research related to applying and studying.

Haaga-Helia's degree students can apply for a Virtual exchange grant for online summer school and other short courses from Haaga-Helia International Services with the Application for virtual exchange studies.

Virtual exchange grant can be paid to a maximum of 25 students/calendar year.

The amount of the grant is 50% of the tuition fee but max 400 €.

Grant conditions

• You can receive the grant only once and you cannot apply for the grant afterward
• Your study plan has to be approved by your International Affairs Specialist before your exchange
• Virtual course organiser must be Haaga-Helia's partner institution
• You must complete the online studies successfully

After exchange

1. Complete your virtual studies successfully 
2. Send your Transcript of Records via “Virtual Exchange Transcript” in MoveON
