The main objective of the project is the development and testing of a multidisciplinary e-learning course that will contribute to increasing the knowledge of university students in:
- reverse engineering and its potential application in circular economy solutions;
- digital skills to adopt reverse engineering in companies;
- increasing green and digital skills to enrich the circular economy solutions in the manufacturing sector.
Implementation
The project will be implemented through the following activities. Firstly, the students’ needs and the conceptual architecture of the CircleREdu course will be validated through a scientific literature review and interviews with lecturers and companies. Based on these, the course contents will be developed and tested in pilots involving universities and companies in several countries. Lastly, the activities undertaken under the dissemination strategy will guarantee the promotion of the project, its goals and results and the partnership’s sustainability beyond the end of the funding period.
Results
The outcomes of the CircleRedu project include:
- a conceptual framework and syllabus for a course on circular economy and the application of reverse engineering methodology in circular economy solutions in the manufacturing sector.
- a digital tool describing different materials – such as software and data – to implement reverse engineering and circular economy solutions.
- a user-friendly e-learning platform.
- a coaching methodology for solving real business challenges.
