The “Alive!” project (in Finnish – Elossa!) combines the research and development expertise of the multidisciplinary implementation team of three international Finland-based universities of applied sciences.
The aim of the project is to develop and validate an operating model based on new forms of cooperation and ecosystem thinking in the care homes and creative industries of the Helsinki Seniorisäätiö – The Foundation of Helsinki Nursing Homes.
The project maps out the aims and objectives related to creative initiatives in the care home environment. Based on the identified needs, the creative workshops will be carried out on thematic basis in care homes, including, for example, art, drama, music, digital solutions. Companies within the creative industries are coached and their service models are tested in the care home settings.
In the project, Haaga-Helia is responsible for coaching creative industry companies and representatives as well as matching their solutions with the selected care homes for pilot implementations.
