HOTEM & EXPER thesis instructions

Restonomi thesis process for students starting in 2022 and after

Before starting the thesis, you will complete the Research and Development Skills ANA001HH1A (5 ECTS) study course, which will prepare you for writing the thesis.

At the end of the Research and Development Skills study period, you will submit a topic proposal to Wihi, and at the same time you will be registered for Thesis, phase 1, 2 and 3. There is therefore no need for separate registration.

In the topic proposal, the name of the thesis is not the final title of the work, but an indicative title for the thesis, which can be changed afterwards.

In the orientation option section of the topic proposal, write clearly whether you are a student of Porvoo or Haaga, for example EXPER/Haaga or Event/Porvoo or something similar.

Topic proposals are accepted at the beginning of each period, and within a week you will receive a supervisor for your thesis.

After topic proposal, you will automatically be enrolled into Thesis phase 1 course, during which you will participate in the workshops and guidance meetings. Guidance meetings can be organized in a small group and/or individual guidance.

During Thesis phase 1, you will make a thesis plan, which will be approved by your thesis supervisor.

During Thesis phase 2, you will be writing theoretical framework, methodology, analysis and all other parts of the thesis. You will be supported by your supervisor.

In Thesis phase 3, you will complete your thesis and submit it for evaluation. You will also take a maturity test, which is an abstract of your thesis. Finally, you publish your finished thesis in Theseus.
