The programme deepens your expertise in pedagogical leadership, leading learning, and research-based development. It strengthens your capacity to act as a strategic, coaching-oriented, and research-informed leader of learning and pedagogical practice. You examine leadership at the levels of the individual, team, and organisation, while expanding your understanding of pedagogical well-being, learning environments, and dialogical leadership in expert communities.
The studies integrate current research knowledge, analytical thinking, organisation-based development, and personal leadership growth. The overarching aim is to develop reflective, community-oriented leaders and enablers of learning who can navigate and shape complex educational contexts.
Content of the programme
This is a 90 ECTS programme consisting of focused study modules and an extensive Master’s thesis that support your development as a reflective and research-informed pedagogical leader. For example, the programme includes the following modules:
- Pedagogical and Leading Learning in Organisations – 5 ECTS
- Leadership of Pedagogical Well-being and Community Building – 5 ECTS
- Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence in Support of Leading Learning – 5 ECTS
- Master’s Thesis Plan – 3 ECTS
- Self as a Pedagogical Leader and Developer – 5 ECTS
- Master’s Thesis – 30 ECTS
Structure of the studies
The Master’s studies consist of key competencies, specialisation studies, and complementary professional competencies. At the beginning of the programme, students create a personal study plan based on their individual development needs and future career goals.
Key competencies focus on research and development, organisational development, and change leadership. Specialisation studies deepen students’ professional expertise, and together with the Master’s thesis form the core of the programme.
