Individual Arrangements in the Entrance Examination

Lead paragraph

The applicant can request individual arrangements for the entrance examinations with a separate form. The applicant should describe what type of arrangements he/she is requesting and why he/she requires these arrangements in the entrance examinations. Copies of documents supporting the request should be enclosed with the request.

If you require individual arrangements in the entrance examinations to Haaga-Helia UAS due to health conditions, learning disability, or other special reason (e.g. extra time for completing the entrance examination, extra lighting, or some other technical aid in the entrance examination, or other special arrangements), fill in and submit a written request for individual arrangements in entrance examinations with the instructions given below.

If the need for individual arrangements exists already during the application period, the request for individual arrangements in the entrance examinations must be submitted to Haaga-Helia Admission Services:

  • Spring 2024 Joint application period applications by 24 January 2024 at 3 PM Finnish time

If the need for individual arrangements arises after the last day of the application period, but before the entrance examination, the applicant should submit the request for individual arrangements with the supporting documents without delay to the Admission Services. The university of applied sciences or the university can deny the applicant the requested individual arrangements if the requested arrangements are not possible to arrange due to e.g. time constraints.

Enclose with your request a copy of a doctor’s certificate or other similar document verifying the grounds for the individual arrangements. In addition, an applicant must submit a copy of his/her certificate translated into Finnish, Swedish, or English by an official (authorised) translator, if the original document is in none of these languages. The translation must be signed and stamped by the translator.

If the applicant is applying for extra time to complete the entrance examination on the grounds of learning disability, the applicant should enclose a certificate issued by a psychologist acquainted with learning disabilities, a speech therapist, or a medical specialist (e.g. pediatric neurologist, neurologist or phoniatrician) with his/her request. If the applicant has participated in the matriculation examination in Finland and has a decision on individual arrangements in the matriculation examination, the applicant is requested to enclose a copy of the decision with his/her request for individual arrangements in the entrance examinations.
