Helga and student activities

The Student Union of Haaga-Helia – Helga and several student associations and clubs are responsible for the development of the student activities and culture at Haaga-Helia. There are many student communities who organise different types of events and offer support in many areas.

Student Union HELGA

The student union Helga acts as a link between its members and advocates to further the civil, social and intellectual pursuits of students, as well as the rights of its members in regard to the status of students locally in Haaga-Helia and in the municipal level as well as national and in the EU levels.

The student union, among other things, is responsible for the recruitment and training of all the tutors in Haaga-Helia, hosts the significant annual student events and gives advice and support to students in all possible student life scenarios.

Student associations

The degree programme and campus associations are independent organisations managed by students. Their purpose is to produce services and student activities as well as serve as an advocate for their members'. The associations are in close cooperation with the student union Helga in regards to the development of student culture, services, and advocacy.

Joining the associations is voluntary. You can become a member by contacting the association in question through their website or by visiting their office on their home campus. Degree-related students associations are all located in the Helga Kitchen and Lounge in K1 (basement floor 1) on Pasila campus.
