Haaga-Helia offers exchange students services in English, including arrival service, an extensive orientation programme, accommodation in student dormitories, Finnish language and culture studies, personal study counseling, and student tutors. During their free time, students have plenty of trips, activities, and events to choose from.
Exchange students are supported by Haaga-Helia's International services throughout their exchange period. After you have been accepted as an exchange student to Haaga-Helia, there are few things you should remember to take care of before your studies begin.
Students have excellent facilities in their use such as modern library and information services, study and computer areas. Our campuses also offer affordable student cafes and restaurants and sports facilities. All students are entitled to discounts on travel, restaurant and other services with a student card.
The Student Union of Haaga-Helia – Helga and several student associations and clubs are responsible for the development of the student activities and culture at Haaga-Helia. There are many student associations who organise different types of events and offer support in many areas. Helga is also responsible for the recruitment and training of all the tutors in Haaga-Helia.
In addition, Helga acts as a link between its members and advocates to further the civil, social and intellectual pursuits of students, as well as the rights of its members in regard to the status of students.
Haaga-Helia encourages all students and staff to consider sustainability in their everyday life. This includes your exchange and to help you out, we have together with two other universities of applied sciences, Metropolia and Laurea, developed our guide to a green exchange in Finland.
