Video Stories of Sustainable Picnics: Suomenlinna & Krea Spring School 2024
More than 50 international students and teachers from nine European universities and representing 19 different nationalities joined forces to create sustainability marketing videos for the Sea Fortress Island of Suomenlinna. The videos inspire visitors for sustainable picnics and lifestyles.
Body
Haaga-Helia’s Creative Agency Krea organized its annual blended intensive programme (BIP) Krea Spring School during 16 April–17 May 2024. The programme culminated in a sunny in-person week devoted to sustainability reflections and video-making in Helsinki on 13–17 May.
Sustainability marketing videos inspiring responsible tourism
As Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is important that visitors are aware of and respect its nature, residents, and local services, cherishing its cultural heritage by behaving in environmentally, socially, and economically responsible ways.
During the intensive week, eight multicultural and multidisciplinary student teams created short sustainability marketing videos in collaboration with The Governing Body of Suomenlinna, K-Market Suomenlinna, and Video Agency Ikimedia. The videos aim to inspire young adults to pay a responsible visit to Suomenlinna and reflect on the sustainability of their habits and lifestyles:
- Make Suomenlinna Smile :)
- Suomenlinna – Finnish The Quest
- Respect Suomenlinna – Don’t Be a Goose!
- Suomenlinna –Spend a Day with Us
- Suomenlinna – Change your Future
- The Suomenlinna Effect
- Visit Suomenlinna – Escape the Hustle
- Suomenlinna – Mission Failed Successfully
