The continuation of the cooperation was sealed with a new partnership agreement at the Haaga campus on Tuesday 10 December. The agreement was signed by Turkish Airlines Country Manager Utku Yazan and Haaga-Helia's Klaus Lüttjohann.
– The cooperation will be extended from the beginning of next year to cover all Bachelor of Hospitality courses as well as Aviation Business courses. In the past, the cooperation has mostly been carried out with the Haaga campus' tourism programme, says Lüttjohann.
Over the years, the cooperation has taken many forms: lecturer visits to different courses, thesis projects and various events on campus. In addition, Haaga-Helia students have worked at the Turkish Airlines stand at the Travel Fair.
Now, Turkish Airlines also awarded two scholarships to Haaga-Helia's restaurant students for good academic performance. The scholarships will enable the students to go on a study trip of their choice to a Turkish Airlines destination. The aim of the scholarships is to increase the student's skills and knowledge of the tourism industry.
