Of these, the Base survey has been integrated into the study feedback of the Introduction to Studies course. Follow-up and master surveys are carried out as a Webropol questionnaire, i.e. students will receive a link to their email.
In total, only 393 students responded to all surveys. We at Quality Management would like to see more students answering the questionnaires in the future, although we know it certainly gets tedious at times. It is extremely important for us to get feedback from the students themselves so that we can improve our activities. And don't worry, these surveys are always anonymous, and therefore the answers cannot be linked to an individual respondent.
Of the respondents to the base student survey, 38% gave a rating of 5 and 47% a rating of 4; of the follow-up survey, 35% gave a rating of 4 and 15% a rating of 5. Of the Master's survey respondents, 19% gave a rating of 5 and 55% a rating of 4.
In 2023, students have praised the school's nice and approachable teachers, the student community spirit, the efficient degree structure and the possibility to tailor their studies to their needs. Critical feedback included the number of group assignments, personnel answering emails, various IT systems and the opening hours of the cafeteria.
The results of the surveys are discussed in the OHT (Study and Wellbeing Group), in various working groups and in the YTY/ Roundtable meetings on a degree basis. In addition, since last spring, feedback from students is discussed in the quality-focused meetings of the Haaga-Helia Future of Skills (OSTU) Forum. These meetings are attended by representatives from all areas and often the feedback received is being addressed with very concrete actions.
