From 26 to 30 January 2026, Haaga‑Helia School of Professional Teacher Education hosted a group of teacher students and teachers from the South Korean Chungnam National University (CNU). The week‑long programme provided participants with a diverse overview of Finnish Professional Teacher Education, pedagogy and the education system.
CNU’s Faculty of Education Dean, Kwangbok Yi, visited Finland now for the seventh time. He said he appreciates the cooperation with Haaga-Helia and hopes that the study visits will continue next year as well.
Feedback from the teacher students also highlighted the impact of the visit:
It was a great opportunity to learn what competencies you need as a teacher.
I was really impressed by Finland’s education and Finnish society.
It was great to learn not only about education but also about the perception and values of the Finnish people.
At the end of the week, the participants were awarded certificates for completing the study unit Modern Finnish Pedagogy in Teacher Training.
The visit was part of Haaga-Helia School of Professional Teacher Education’s education export, through which Finnish teacher education expertise is offered to international partners. Haaga-Helia will continue to develop export of education in close collaboration with its partners, with cooperation especially in Asian countries expected to strengthen in the coming years.
