Seventeen Maltese lecturers graduated from Haaga-Helia Master's programme

Seventeen lecturers from the Maltese Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) celebrated their graduation at the beginning of December when they received their degree certificates from the Master's programme in International Hospitality Management with Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.

In 2016, Haaga-Helia signed a collaboration agreement with Institute of Tourism Studies of training ITS lecturers. The training included both Bachelor's and Master's degrees and it was targeted to ITS hospitality lecturers, who have a wide experience in the industry. The training aimed to develop lecturers' hospitality mindset as well as their competences in service design and innovation.

Two years ago, seventeen ITS lecturers graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and now, two years later, seventeen lecturers celebrated their Master's degree. The graduation ceremony was held in Malta and present for the ceremony was Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection, Hon. Clayton Bartolo, Malta Union of Teachers President, Mr Marco Bonnici, and Haaga-Helia Vice President Mr Jouni Ahonen presented the graduates with their certificates.

The training took place in modules in Malta and partly as e-learning led by experts from Haaga-Helia. Our experts sent their greetings with Vice Principal Ahonen and expressed their gratitude for the Maltese hospitality and collaboration.

Haaga-Helia also wants to congratulate the graduates and wishes all the best for their careers.
