New way to activate student’s user ID and renew password
The new electronic identification service has been launched for students on Wednesday 16 April 2025. Changing or renewing your password has also changed with the new service.

Body
Haaga-Helia students must identify themselves electronically before activating their user ID and starting studies. The current way for the students to identify themselves and get usernames has been replaced by a new solution. Students identify themselves in the Haaga-Helia identification portal through Suomi.fi e-identification. Students that do not have a Finnish personal identity code, or if identification with Suomi.fi e-service using Finnish citizen identification methods is not possible, can use the eIDAS or Finnish Authenticator identification services (part of Suomi.fi e-identification service).
Students’ passwords can be changed even if one doesn’t remember the old password by using Haaga-Helia's new identification portal. First log in with your username: Identification service
Select "Change Password" or "Reset Password" and follow the instructions. To renew your password, the system will ask you to identify again via the Suomi.fi e-identification service.
Note! You can still change your password on campus workstations or via the VDI desktop.
