Note! If you complete all the assignments/reports required for the assessment of the missing credits, submit them by July 31, and apply for graduation at the latest on July 31, you can still graduate during the spring semester 2026, provided that the credits will be approved. Please note that for those applying for a degree certificate after June 8, the degree certificate will be delivered possibly at the end of August at the earliest.
Attendance policy will be loosened in August
If you are a master student, absences will not lower your grade nor affect the passing of the course. The changes will enter into force on 1 August 2026.
Reminder: Haaga-Helia Master’s Student Survey
Did you start your Master’s studies in autumn 2025 or spring 2026? Then this survey is for you.
You should have received the survey invitation in your Haaga-Helia email (sender: Haaga-Helia via [email protected]).
The survey takes about 10 minutes and is completely anonymous. Your responses are very important and will be used to develop our educational services.
Master thesis method guidance
Students get guidance for their thesis work in the thesis method workshops and they are intended for all Master's students. Participating in the workshops is voluntary and does not accumulate study points.
Method workshops are organised online. For method theme evenings, one must enrol no later than the previous Monday, in order to receive a link to the Haaga-Helia email address before the session starts.
The enrolment for method theme evenings will begin in August 2026 and the registration link will be published on the Thesis, Master’s Degree webpage.

AI Solution Sprint (5 ECTS), DIG707HH0YE-3001
Course Description:
This interdisciplinary course brings together students from Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences to explore artificial intelligence through an intensive hackathon. It combines preparatory learning, practical experimentation, professional use of social media such as LinkedIn, and reflective analysis, strengthening both technological and collaborative skills. Before the hackathon, students participate in an AI training session.
The core is the AI Solution Sprint, where teams develop innovative solutions to real company cases under time pressure, applying AI methods, collaborating across disciplines, and presenting their ideas. After the hackathon, teams finalise their ideas and reflect on their learning through a structured assignment, linking practice with theory and evaluating their individual and team performance.
