Spring and summer schedules and enrollment  

The schedules for spring and summer studies 2025 have been published on Mon 18 November in Timetable tool (Lukkarikone). The post-enrollment begins on 2 January 2025 at 8.00 am and ends at 16.00 on the Friday of the week before the implementation begins. There are still places left on the spring and summer implementations. Please check the list of spring implementations on Master timetable pages. 

‘Failed’ grade from the implementation

If you have enrolled to a course, but cannot successfully pass all learning assignments within the course time frame, you will be evaluated with 0 (fail). The fail grade will not be visible in your degree certificate and you can re-enrol for the same course in the post-enrolment. Please also remember to cancel your enrolment if you know that you are not going to complete a course you have enrolled to. 

Markkinoinnin ja viestinnän ajankohtaisia suuntauksia COM4HM005-3007 teemalla vastuullinen viestintä (Only in Finnish)

Toteutus perehdyttää opiskelijat vastuullisuusviestinnän keskeisiin teemoihin ja käytäntöihin. Toteutuksen tavoitteena on antaa valmiuksia tunnistaa ja toteuttaa vastuullista viestintää sekä ymmärtää sen merkitys yritysten ja organisaatioiden toiminnassa.  

Toteutus sisältää kuusi tallennettua verkkoluentoa vastuullisuudesta (Yhteistyössä ProCom – Viestinnän ammattilaiset ry:n kanssa). Lisäksi lähdeaineistona akateeminen teos ProComma 2021 Vastuullinen viestintä. Toteutuksella tehdään aineistoon pohjautuva tentti sekä analyysitehtävä, jossa opiskelija kehittää case-yrityksen vastuullisuusviestintää. Toteutusmuoto on virtuaalinen ja ilmoittautua voi jälki-ilmoittautumisessa 2.1. lähtien. 

Kiertotalous: Kilpailukyky ja planeettamme pelastus (Only in Finnish)

Tiesitkö, että sinunkin työkuvasi muuttuu vihreässä siirtymässä? On suositeltavaa, että jokainen Haaga-Helian tutkinto-opiskelija opiskelee vähintään yhden kiertotalouskurssin. Kiertotalouden opintojaksoilla opit, kuinka rakennetaan kestävää hiilineutraalia tulevaisuutta. 

Kiertotalouden ja ympäristövaikutusten johtaminen (5 op) OTH8HM017-3003 

Opintojaksolla saat kokonaiskuvan, miten kiertotalouteen perustuvaa liiketoimintaa ja ympäristövastuuta johdetaan sekä miten kestävä strategia ja toimintatavat jalkautetaan. Toteutusmuoto on online ja ilmoittautua voi jälki-ilmoittautumisessa 2.1. lähtien. Lisätietoa löytyy opinto-oppaasta.

Master seminars in the spring 2025 

In the Master seminars, topics for theses are brainstormed, and in addition, the graduating students present their thesis.   

Master seminars take place online on the following Mondays from 17 to 19:

Thesis workshops in the spring 2025

The thesis workshops support the planning and implementation of the Master thesis and are intended for all Master students. Participating in the workshops is voluntary and does not accumulate study points, but according to the feedback, they are useful at every stage of the thesis. Thesis workshops take place online on the following Mondays from 17 to 19. The enrollment will begin in the beginning of January.

• Tuesday February 11 at 18.00 o’clock (ca. 2.5 h) Interviews and content analysis - Assessing reliability and validity

• Tuesday February 25 at 18.00 o’clock (ca. 2.5 h) Questionnaire design and use of Webropol for collecting data - Analysing and presenting quantitative data 

Method workshops on Tuesdays from 18.00 to 20.30

Internationalisation possibilities for Master students

Ulysseus Entre Camp Seville for Master students 

Entre Camps Ulysseus European University will organize the fourth edition of Entre Camp, a 5 ECTS summer school, from 2nd to 6th of June 2025 at the University of Seville in Spain. The camp is aimed to Master students from inter-disciplinary programs and qualifications involving business, administration and law. Students will be selected based on academic achievement, progress in studies and a motivation letter. Five students from Haaga-Helia will be chosen to participate, and expenses will be partially covered by Erasmus funding. Read more and apply on Haaga-Helia's websites. The application deadline is 31st January 2025. 

Apply for Student Exchange 

The main application round for student exchange studies for the Autumn 2025 and Spring 2026 academic year will be open on 27.1.2025-10.2.2025. Haaga-Helia has nearly 200 partners around the globe and you can find out more about the exchange destinations and the travel reports from students who have been on exchange in the MoveOn database.   

Thesis 

The thesis should be started at the beginning of the third semester i.e. second study year the latest. You can find support and information from Master thesis web page and on the Applied Design Research course. If you don’t have a thesis topic yet, remember to participate in the Master seminar of your specialisation where you can get support for ideation. 

Master team on Christmas break   

Master team is on Christmas break from 21.12.2024 to 1.1.2025. You can reach us again starting from Jan 2 on Master e-mail address. The teachers will be available starting from Jan 7.
