Haaga-Helia's application period for exchange studies attracted a great number of applicants. International student mobility has been on a decline nationally but the increasing number of applications shows that studying abroad still engages students.

Haaga-Helia's first application round for exchange studies for the academic year 2021-22 ended on Monday. In total, 419 students applied for exchange, which is a 15 percent increase from last year

- Haaga-Helia students have excellent opportunities to develop their international competences during studies. It’s delightful to see that studies abroad also interest our students, says the Head of International Relations Sirpa Holmström.

During the application round, students can choose their exchange destination among Haaga-Helia's over 200 partner institutions. Depending on student’s degree programme, they can apply for exchange during the first or second year, and the exchange period will take place during the second or third year of studies.

Haaga-Helia International Services support students in the exchange process and organise information sessions and webinars where students learn more about the exchange destinations and application process.
