Haaga-Helia's strong appeal continued in the first joint application period
The spring's first joint application period for Bachelor programmes in English closed on 18 January at 3.00 pm. Haaga-Helia’s degree programmes taught in English proved their success once again during this application round.
In the spring joint application period for Haaga-Helia's English-language degree programmes, we received a record number of applications, over 16 000. In total, the number of applications increased nationwide and of the four most popular study options in Finland, three were Haaga-Helia's degree programmes.
In the first application period of the spring, Haaga-Helia offered six Bachelor programmes open for application. When measured by the number of applicants, the most popular Bachelor's programme was Business Information Technology, which had 5165 applicants (approximately 207 applicants per available study place). The number of applicants increased significantly also in the degree programme in Hospitality and Tourism Experience Management (approximately 176 applicants per available study place). International Business programme also continues to attract a large number of applicants (approximately 44 applicants per available study place).
The total intake for Haaga-Helia's English Bachelor programmes in this application round is 255 available study places.
International UAS exam
The International UAS Exam will be used in the student selection in all Haaga-Helia’s Bachelor’s degree programmes conducted in English, except the degree programme in Sports Coaching and Management.
International UAS Exam consists of two phases. The first phase includes a written examination that will be organised on 8 February 2023. The second phase, group interviews, will be organised between 6–17 March 2023. The most successful applicants of the first phase written exam per study field are going to be invited to the second phase group interview.
The degree programme in Sports Coaching and Management has its own entrance exam and pre-assignment.
