Haaga-Helia is the most attractive trainer of vocational teachers in Finland

The most popular teacher training programme in Haaga-Helia is Vocational Teacher Education, for which there were more than 1,200 applicants this year, which is nearly 200 more applicants than last year.

The programme is in Finnish and in English. There are 340 available study places for teacher education, 20 of which are reserved for students in the English group.

This year, Haaga-Helia received the highest number of applicants for vocational teacher education from all five Finnish vocational teacher schools.

A total of 114 applicants applied for Vocational Special Needs Teacher programme and 128 applied for Vocational Guidance Counsellor Education programme. There are 30 available study places in both programmes.

The number of applicants for all teacher school's education programmes was higher than in the previous year.The application is organised annually in January together with other vocational teacher schools in Finland.

The results of the student application will be published at the end of March on the Studyinfo.fi website. The results of teacher education will be published on 30 March 2023 and the results of special needs teacher and guidance councellor training will be published on 21 March 2023.
