Exit drills are carried out on all Haaga-Helia campuses during the autumn under the leadership of the campus security teams.
Prepare for the upcoming exit drill by watching the Exiting the building video (YouTube) and then follow the instructions.
Follow these steps
If you spot a fire, put out the initial fire and call 112.
Exiting the building
- Close the windows.
- Take only the necessary personal belongings with you.
- The last person to leave takes the Space Empty card from the door of the room, closes the door and hangs the Space Empty card on the handle outside the door.
- Leave the premises accompanied by staff (yellow vest) to the assembly point by the nearest exit route. Do not use the lift to exit the building.
- Remain calm and avoid breathing smoke.
- Go to the assembly point.
- Follow the instructions of the staff.
- Observe public spaces and guide and assist others to the assembly area if necessary.
At the assembly point
- Arrange your group behind your teacher.
- The teacher/protection supervisor will inform the person in charge of the assembly point that his/her area is empty.
- Listen and follow the instructions given.
Do not leave the assembly area until you have received permission.
After the exercise
