Get ready for the upcoming evacuation exercise
Planned and regular training will prepare you to deal with emergency situations. All Haaga-Helia campuses will conduct an evacuation exercise during the autumn, led by the campus security teams.
Body
Preparedness is based on up-to-date procedures for different emergency situations, which are practised every year in a planned way together with staff and students. Prepare for the upcoming evacuation drill by watching the Exiting the building video (YouTube) and then follow the instructions:
Measures on exit
When you spot a fire or other danger, put out the initial fire and call 112.

- Remain calm and avoid breathing smoke.
- Follow the instructions of the staff.
- Observe public spaces and guide and assist others to the assembly area if necessary.
At the assembly point
- Arrange your group behind your teacher.
- The teacher/protection supervisor will inform the person in charge of the assembly point that his/her area is empty.
- Listen and follow the instructions given.
Do not leave the assembly area until you have received permission.
After the exercise, please answer a questionnaire on the success of the exit exercise. Your feedback will be taken into account in the development of the exercise.
