BDO, which provides auditing and expert services, has started partner cooperation with Haaga-Helia. BDO is part of an international network of expert organisations with operations in 164 countries and more than 95,000 experts. There are approximately 300 employees in Finland.

The partner agreement was signed at Haaga-Helia's Pasila campus on 22 August. At the same time, BDO's Human Resources Specialist Tia Vauhkonen was able to visit the free designated premises reserved for partner companies on the Pasila campus.

Vauhkonen says that BDO has excellent experiences with Haaga-Helia students. The last full-time employee to graduate from Haaga-Helia started working at BDO in August 2022.

– BDO has a trainee programme in which it offers internships to students from 2 to 4th of the academic year. After the internship, many students will also continue with us either as a full-time expert or part-time in addition to studying, Vauhkonen adds.

Despite the fact that BDO is the fifth largest player in both the world and Finland in its field, the company is still unknown to many students as an employer. Through partner cooperation, BDO wants to improve visibility among students, especially auditing and financial management experts graduating from Haaga-Helia.
