Anna Pakkanen receives the Study Psychologist of the Year award
The study psychologists of Finnish universities of applied sciences and universities have chosen the Study Psychologist of the Year.

aaga-Helia's Study Psychologist Anna Pakkanen has been appointed Study Psychologist of the Year 2025.
The justifications read:
”For several years, Anna has maintained and promoted the activities of the study psychologist network through morning coffees, summer days, advocacy work and cooperation with the Finnish Psychological Association, among other things. Through her activities, Anna has really contributed to the development of the profession and the vitality of networking."
The title was awarded for the first time this year. Study psychologists choose the recipient of the award from among themselves.
Anna received a certificate of honour and a Golden Brain statuette as a souvenir of the recognition.
Well-being team supporting students
Haaga-Helia's well-being team consists of study psychologists, study coaches and a university chaplain. In addition, special needs vocational teachers help Haaga-Helia's students with learning challenges.
The well-being team offers students preventive services aimed at supporting the progress of their studies and the students’ well-being and mental coping. The services are intended for students who face challenges related to their ability to study, such as problems with motivation, study skills, stress or time management.
