Katja Wirenius

Katja Wirenius works as a Senior Lecturer in Haaga-Helia School of Professional Teacher Education. She holds a Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed.) and has also studied leadership, educational administration, and team development. Katja has served as Project Manager in the AiDriver! project focusing on artificial intelligence, and she is involved in areas such as developing international activities and providing continuing education for professionals in the field of education. Her areas of expertise include digital pedagogy, AI in learning, leadership, entrepreneurial approaches, and teamwork.

Katja has many years of experience in the education sector, spanning basic education, liberal adult education, and vocational education and training. She also has strong experience from the business sector as well as from working as an entrepreneur. Katja joined Haaga-Helia in August 2022, transitioning to teacher education from her previous role as Head of Education in upper secondary vocational education.
