The Ulysseus Joint Research Group on Applied AI for Education conducts research on the application of artificial intelligence in education, learning, and training. The research group focuses particularly on the field of AIED (Artificial Intelligence in Education).

The research group is multidisciplinary and international, with expertise in learning, education, management and behavioral sciences, as well as technical, ethical, and analytical expertise related to AI. The research field and its challenges of AI in education are broad. Therefore, this research group works on developing skills for generative AI, developing multidisciplinary AI capabilities, the identification of disinformation and fake news, AI literacy, and many other societal, cultural, and educational challenges related to AI.
