- The BIP programme must be suitable for inclusion in your Haaga-Helia degree.
- Academic performance and progress in studies.
- The mobility must be to a destination that genuinely supports the your internationalisation (not, for example, to the country of residence or, as a rule, the home country).
- Priority is given to students who have not previously participated in Haaga-Helia exchange programmes (either short or long-term).
- A student may participate in a maximum of two BIP programmes per academic year.
- Students who have neglected their obligations in previous Haaga-Helia exchange programmes cannot be selected again.
Students participating in the Erasmus+ BIP are entitled to Erasmus+ Short Mobility Grant which consist of daily grant, travel grant and possible fewer opportunities top-up.
Grant requirements
- The BIP must include a mandatory virtual component in addition to the physical mobility period of at least 5 days, with a total workload of at least 3 ECTS credits.
- The BIP program is approved as part of your Haaga-Helia degree.
The daily grant for the physical mobility is €79/day. Grant is calculated based on the programme days in the host university and travel days.
Grant Application
The Erasmus+ BIP participants will apply the grant by using an online form, which can be found on the Erasmus+ BIP portal. You can only apply for the grant once your application for the intensive course has been approved and you have signed your Erasmus+ Learning Agreement. You will receive instructions from the International Services.
All students participating in an Erasmus+ mobility period receive, in addition to the daily grant, a travel grant based on travel distance and mode of transport. The Erasmus+ distance calculator is determines the amount.
If the student travels by an environmentally friendly method as defined by Erasmus+(such as Train, Buss, Car-pooling), a higher grant amount is awarded. Otherwise, a lower travel grant is given.
For the green travel grant, please complete the Green Travel Declaration Form and attach it to the grant application.
The Erasmus+ programme provides addtional support for students who might otherwise face financial or health-related barriers to mobility. Students can apply for a fixed top-up to the individual grant, or additional funding based on actual costs.
In Finland, the groups eligible for 100€ fixed top-up funding include:
