The KEKRI project strengthens the growth and competitiveness of small and medium-sized sustainable food producers in Uusimaa and supports their access to public procurement.
KEKRI encourages the Finnish food industry and food producers to adopt future-proof cultivation and production methods in order to ensure national food security and mitigate climate change.
Within the project, we will:
- Enhance RDI and procurement collaboration in the food sector
- Develop the public sector’s role as a testbed for innovative procurement procedures (e.g., DPS, Dynamic Purchasing System)
- Develop criteria for regenerative farming
- Increase the capacity to generate added value through organic production, responsibility, and value-chain innovations
We offer companies:
- Training and workshops
- Sustainable business
- Innovative production methods
- Marketing strategies
- Mentoring
- Events and networking opportunities
The project will generate means to promote a more sustainable food system and positively support the climate and procurement goals of cities and municipalities.
