Research, development, and innovation (RDI) projects generate not only new knowledge and solutions but also valuable expertise that deserves to be recognized.
The Competence Bridge builds new pathways for participation and learning in the research, development, and innovation activities of universities of applied sciences. In this project, we are developing a national model that translates the work phases of RDI projects into learning outcomes, enabling the expertise gained through these projects to be identified, assessed, and recognized.
In the Competence Bridge project:
- we are compiling best practices from universities of applied sciences
- we are developing the model in collaboration with higher education institutions and the workforce
- we are testing the model in RDI projects at five universities of applied sciences
- we produce an open toolkit, a guide, and impact assessment tools.
Through this, RDI projects open up new, practice-based opportunities for those in the workforce to develop their competencies.
